In the wake of the devastating floods that have ravaged North Carolina, Tennessee and other states, the absence of federal aid has left millions without power and communication. Amid this chaos, private companies and citizens have taken it upon themselves to fill the void.
The Health Ranger Mike Adams and Tina Blanco of the Satellite Phone Store delved into the critical role of private sector initiatives in an episode of the “Health Ranger Report.” They contrasted this with the government’s lack of response, highlighting the importance of community-driven preparedness and resilience.
The federal government’s response has been markedly absent, leaving many to wonder where the help is. In this vacuum, private companies and citizens have emerged as the lifeline for those in need. (Related: America Last: Biden administration prioritizes FOREIGN AID over domestic disaster relief)
At the forefront of these efforts is Blanco, CEO of The Satellite Phone Store. Despite her own personal challenges – her home in Florida was damaged – Blanco has been tirelessly coordinating relief efforts. Her company donated satellite phones to first responders and stranded individuals, ensuring that those in the affected areas can communicate and receive the help they desperately need.
“Without communication, you really can’t do much unless you’re able to communicate,” Blanco emphasized. “A lot of people and companies aren’t prepared, and a lot of people don’t have backup communications or generators.”
The Satellite Phone Store worked around the clock, sending van loads of satellite phones, generators and Starlink devices to the affected areas. Blanco’s team even hand-delivered these vital resources to first responders and those in critical need. Their efforts are not just about providing equipment but about ensuring that the communication infrastructure is in place to coordinate effective rescue operations.
The stark contrast between the proactive efforts of private companies and the government’s lack of response is glaring. According to Adams, the corporate media has largely ignored the crisis, and there has been no statement from the White House or other high-ranking officials. The National Guard, which could provide much-needed assistance, has been deployed to other countries – leaving the affected regions severely understaffed.
“The private sector, like churches and private security companies, are way more prepared than our government,” Blanco lamented. “I don’t think our government has enough resources or communication.”
Both Adams and Blanco stressed the importance of individual and community preparedness. In times of crisis, those who are prepared can not only take care of themselves but also help their neighbors.
“Communication, food, water, generators and solar panels are essential,” Blanco emphasized. “If you prepare yourself, you’ll be able to take care of your family and not rely on 911 services that don’t work during emergencies.”
As the crisis continues, the need for immediate action remains urgent. The Satellite Phone Store has offered a 10 percent discount on generators and communication devices, encouraging everyone to be prepared. Additionally, they are directly helping first responders and those in need by providing satellite phones and other essential supplies.
Adams and his company, Health Ranger Store, also stepped up. They donated at least two pallets of storable food to the affected areas, totaling over $50,000 worth of supplies. They also coordinated logistics to ensure that the food reaches those who need it most.
The efforts of The Satellite Phone Store and other organizations like Health Ranger Store are a testament to the power of community and preparedness. It is a stark reminder that in times of disaster, it often falls to the unsung heroes to fill the void left by the government.
